The single axis solar tracker has a simple structure and relatively low price, it is generally arranged in a north-south direction, but it occupies a large area, suitable for use in large solar power stations.
The dual axis solar tracker has a complex structure and high cost, but it occupies a small area, and each bracket can operate independently, making it suitable for use in complex terrain areas.

Generally there are three types of layout of solar panels for a single axis solar tracker.
1、 2IP layout. The solar panels in this layout are installed in two rows side by side on both sides of the main beam, with the long edge pointing to east-west and the short edge pointing to north-south.
2、 2IL layout. The solar panels in this layout are also installed in two rows side by side on both sides of the main beam, but the long edge is pointing to north-south and the short edge is pointing to east-west.
3、 1 IP layout. This layout has only one row of solar panels installed on the main beam, with the long edge pointing to east-west and the short edge pointing to north-south.

The solar tracker is made of hot dip galvanized steel pipe Q235/Q345 or aluminum magnesium alloy, with a galvanized layer thickness of at least 65um , has good corrosion resistance, the service life can reach over 25 years.

The BOFU unique arch purlins makes the total barycenter of the purlins and solar panels coincide with the pivot of the main beam at any angle, thus the overall eccentric toque is almost zero no matter how the main beam rotates, the slewing drive only need to overcome the friction of the supporting bearing itself, so to reduce the power consumption of the motor.
